NYSERDA helps contractors grow their businesses through cost-share incentives to fund advertising campaigns, special promotions, and events related to heat pumps and energy efficiency upgrades. HVAC and weatherization contractors can futureproof and diversify their business model by including heat pump installations and energy efficiency projects in their service offerings.
NYSERDA’s On-The-Job Training for Energy Efficiency and Clean Technology program will provide wage subsidies to eligible employers to reduce the financial risk of hiring and training new workers, incentivize and track the retention of the new workers during their first year of employment, and offer compensation for industry certifications earned.
Help prepare the next generation of clean energy professionals by providing funded internships for students, recent graduates, and other eligible individuals. By participating in the Clean Energy Internship Program, clean energy employers will have access to pre-qualified candidates alongside cost-share support for up to 90% of their wages. Meanwhile, interns will gain hands-on experience in the growing clean energy sector through part-time or full-time paid internships.

It is anticipated that fellows will work with community-based organizations, universities, municipalities, CTE organizations, tribal nations, public libraries, climate tech innovators/start-ups and clean energy businesses.

This solicitation aims to ensure that new and current employees, apprentices, journeypersons, and students have the skills, experiences, and qualifications they need to participate in New York’s growing clean energy economy.

Provides funding to manufacturers and distributors of cold climate air source heat pumps and ground source heat pumps to support sales, design, and/or installation training.
